No, not that Elvis. Stand-up poet, armchair revolutionary and recumbent rocker, Elvis McGonagall is the sole resident of The Graceland Caravan Park somewhere in the middle of nowhere where he scribbles verse whilst drinking malt whisky and listening to Johnny Cash. Elvis is the 2006 World Slam Champion, the compere of the notorious Blue Suede Sporran Club and appears regularly on BBC Radio 4. He’s appearing in Hoylake as part of this year’s Festival of Firsts – Wirral’s favourite arts fest. Supporting him will be myself and Lynn Gerrard with a mix of dark humour, poetry and stories.
Next gigs:Saturday 23rd July, 7.30pm
